Who can attend The Place to Bee? +
Our activities are open to adults aged 18 and over with learning disabilities, autism or any other disability. We always adapt activities to suit individual needs — no one is turned away.
What does it cost? +
Session fees vary by activity and are kept as affordable as possible. We're happy to discuss local authority funding, direct payments or other options. Call or WhatsApp us for current pricing.
Do carers need to stay during sessions? +
Not necessarily — many members attend with our support staff. This depends on individual needs, which we discuss with you during your initial visit or registration meeting.
Can we come for a taster session first? +
Absolutely — we encourage it! Taster sessions let members and families see what we're about in a relaxed, no-pressure way. Just call or WhatsApp us to arrange one.
How do I make a professional referral? +
Simply call, email or WhatsApp us with the referral details and we'll get back to you quickly. We welcome referrals from social workers, NHS teams, care professionals and families.
Can I volunteer? +
Yes — we love volunteers! All volunteers undergo a DBS check and receive a full induction. No previous experience is required — just warmth, patience and a positive attitude. Get in touch to find out more.
